The pictures you've all been waiting...

It

It's the pictures you've all been waiting for!!! Obviously, this is picture of me...at 10 weeks...all nice n chubby and belly :) And this is a picture of our little Alien! It was doing headstands for us! I decided that it must be an ornery brat already...just like its daddy. hahahaha. Zac was able to go with me to the ultrasound, which I was really grateful for! We heard the heart beat...166 beats/min...and saw the baby moving around as the tech pushed on my bladder till I almost peed myself. haha. AND they said that my due date is pretty accurate. September 24th, 2012 is the day, people! Look out!

For those of you who are keeping tabs...I'm still nauseous and tired ALL the time. It sucks. I get dry heaves usually in the mornings before breakfast, I go to bed at 7:30 pm, I get up at least once a night to pee, I get evening sickness, I wake up every morning to stomach pains signaling that fetus wants some food, and every morning when my alarm clock goes off at 4:30 am...I have to literally throw myself out of bed. They assure me this should be ending soon. We'll see....I'm skeptical. haha. I apologize that my blog is turning into the Complaint Department...but it makes for fun writing :) And hey! It's true :)

As for Zac and the ladies-they're all doing great :) Poor Zac has to fend for himself alot more lately, but I'm sure it's good practice for when the Bambino arrives!

Let us know how you like the blog!! Have a great night, y'all :)

Sooo tired....must stay awakeeee....zzzzzz

I'm sorry it has been such a long gap since I last blogged! I know you all sit around waiting with baited breath to read my blogs :) haha. As you may have noticed from my title, I have been EXHAUSTED lately....from work, pregnancy and life in general! When I'm not working, spend my free time sleeping...and on the weekends, I clean (to catch up from the dirt and grime that hangs around during the week)....and then sleep. ha. I'm starting to feel bad for Zac and his LACK of a social life.

Yesterday, I was able to fein off narcolepsy long enough to help a friend of ours move into his new house. We had a really fun day and I got some much need exercise and blood flow to the brain. If you haven't talked to me recently, the blood flow has started to bypass my brain and I'm becoming stupid. hahaha. A common symptom in pregnancy-but not a fun one.

Also, we had a really UN-eventful Valentine's Day. Zac had duty the night before so I saw him Monday morning and then I didn't get to see him again until Tuesday night. Which really sucks because he just got home Saturday afternoon (2 days before) from a week in the field. Isn't that always the way?! Sooo we got take-out from the local Thai Restaurant (their food is to die for) and hung out at home in our sweats. We both actually quite enjoyed it. We're so simple like that :)

I know you all are wondering about the cravings....I know because I get questions all the time about pregnancy cravings. haha. I don't really ever have cravings....except for milk. I drink alot of milk lately. BUT if I see a commercial or even a picture of a pizza (or anything, really) on TV...I must have it! Like that day. And the turn offs come quite often too. Sometimes, I'm really picky about what I want to eat now...it makes figuring out what I want to eat easy. I've also figured out that if I eat every 2 hours and keep food in my stomach-I don't get sick! So now I have a fat-pack. That's right....a FAT-PACK. Ugh, I hear thats also normal right before you start to show, but I don't like it. Not one bit :)

And who are you people out there that told me they loved being pregnant???? Are you crazy?!  I actually forget what it feels like to feel normal. NOT to feel like a slug all the time! Well, whoever you are-bless your heart! haha.

I can't forget the puppies. Ohhhh the puppies. I love them. They are so funny. Definitely our entertainment out here in rural North Carolina aka the middle of nowhere next to the ocean. Last night we went out to dinner and came home to find our home without a remote control. We looked EVERYWHERE all night and all this morning. We found it buried in the couch next to two half chewed bones....I wonder who could have done that....ahemm-Peanut :) She was just keeping it safe for us. Such a funny bunny.

Ok, I have to go now. Zac is riling up the troops....there's a lot of jumping...barking....running around.  Just another Sunday morning in the Stanley house. You all will also be happy to know that Zac and I are finally buying a new bed today! A king!!!! OOHHHH AAAHHHH....finally all 4 of us will sleep comfortably :) We figure a new bed is a good investment for the future 3-4 hour nights of sleep.

Until next time, Beth

(and Zac and the girls) :)

P.S. I will be posting a new blog after the 27th. I have an appt at the Dr. and will be happy to share all the fun with you!

I have entered the 21st Century...

So...this is my first blog. I've never blogged before, but a friend of mine does and her stories always crack me up. So she inspired me to start my own and I figured it would be a great way to keep up with friends and family across the nation! PLUS, Zac and I just found out that I'm PREGNANT (woah! I know, we were surprised too lol)  and I thought that you guys would love to know what's going on throughout the pregnancy, with the doggies, with the marine corps and with my new job :) That's right people, our lives are turning UP-SIDE-DOWN! But at least we live in beautiful, sunny, warm North Carolina...where it is currently down-pouring...you can't win 'em all...but at least its a cozy morning with the puppies.

So for those of you who don't know, and just found out...I'm pregnant. We found out a couple weeks ago, and although I don't have an appointment at the OB/GYN until February 27th, I think I'm due at the end of September. I'm approximately 7 weeks right now, still very early. We contemplated not telling people for about 5 more weeks, but I can't keep a secret like that...and Zac couldn't keep that secret for 5 minutes. haha. Love him, he's sooooo excited. It's adorable. As for me, I'm sick and tired all the time-which I've heard is a good sign...unless you're the one who's sick and tired all the time!

Ok, I need to go work out before this baby destroys my body. I have a feeling I will be a beast soon :(

Let me know what you think of the new blog! Love to all!

Until next time,
Beth
